Grocery E-commerce Integration with IT Retail and HDS POS

The Mighty Oaks integration with Howell Data System (HDS) and IT-Retail POS allows for seamless e-commerce operation for grocery retailers looking to enter the online market. This POS is commonly used by many regional and independent grocers.We support a fully omni-channel operation for both standalone and chain operations. This allows the retailer to operate their in-store solution with their existing POS system and leverage our e-commerce offering to support omni-channel operation.
IT-Retail sold as Howell Data System HDS in the Canadian market is a popular MS-SQL server based POS system for grocery retail that can be deployed into standalone or multi-store operation.
In the Mighty Oaks configuration, The POS system is configured to provide periodic exports of pricing files to update our E-commerce and order management system. We are able to inject those and offer either the same or marked up online pricing to the consumer online. Using the UPC code we pull product photos, descriptions and ingredient information directly from the CPG to create the optimal customer experience.
If the location information is set in the POS system, we can use that to optimse the in-store pick. The pick process can be performed using either our own handhelds or picklists. Settlement can occur with our handhelds or if desired by the retailer the order can be processed through an HDS/IT-Retail till and automatically exported by to Mighty Oaks for final credit card capture against the order pre-authorisation.
The retailer is free to select from most major merchant account providers to process online orders. We offer direct integration through TD Banks gateway or through the use of either the WorldLine or authorize.net by Visa gateway the retailer can settle their transactions using most major merchant banks in North America.
Our first deployment of MightyCart into a HDS/IT-Retail store was in 2014 and since then we have had a number of deployments across North America.
