Sophos 2015
- March 10, 2015
After being at Mighty Oaks for about six months it was time to meet with the team and plan a strategy forward. We clearly intend to grow our software business. That is an area where we can provide a strong and differentiated value proposition to our customer. We had Avast and SonicWALL solutions deployed. So if we are going to refresh our cloud with new hardware and focus in that area we need good security. Well, given we are running millions in online transactions for our customers each year perhaps good is not good enough.
Having the Mighty Oaks team attend Sophos event and related training was critical to building the depths and breath of expertise that will be needed to property deploy and support these solutions.
We need to go beyond good. We need a strategic partner that has the best strategy in the industry covering end-point, firewall and encryption. So in 2014 we began investing in training staff on Sophos. Sophos end-point, advanced encryption product and the firewall product. Not only for our own infrastructure and to protect the Mighty Oak cloud but our managed services customers.
Now with four Sophos certified Engineers and one architect on staff we are at the point where we need to be. We regularly meet with the SophosLabs team to stay up to date on evolving threats.
